Connect as disk drive not working

I dropped my phone and the camera quit working. I'm due for a new phone so will not be using insurance to replace the Dinc2. I would like to get my photos/videos/music off the SD Card. In the "Connect to PC" setting I selected "Connect as disk drive" and the computer doesn't show it is connected.

I moved all the apps to the SD card i could and am able to access them on the phone.

What am i doing wrong?

I'm not much of a Techie so simple answers would be appreciated!

This is just a guess based on your description but I suggest you take the SD card out and get a card reader for your PC to get the files.

Probably because you're still reeling from the trauma of dropping your phone
