Concerns with OTA

So i'm on the first 2.2 ota, rooted and am using a cusom rom. Can I install the update without changing any of this? Or will I need to flash sbf, wipe and install?

Pretty sure you can't get an ota with a custom rom. Just being rooted doesn't matter though.

Nope your recovery will block it. BTW most custom roms are already on 2.2.1

I was able to apply the OTA and I was running Jrummy's ROM for the 2.3.15 base. I had to make sure that my system/app folder had all of the correct apps in it (the ota checks for this), but I had made a nandroid of my rooted stock, so I just went back to that. Then the OTA applied just fine. I did have trouble re-rooting, but I used the 2.3.20 SBF and then was able to re-root just fine.
