The hotspot was working fine a couple of months ago. I am not sure what happened in between then, maybe a phone OS update? Regardless, the hotspot still shows up in the wireless network lists but after the computer tries to connect, my Droid keeps flip-flopping back and forth between these messages:

1 users connected
0 users connected

That status flip flops back and forth about once every 5 seconds indefinitely.

On the computer, I eventually get the "Can't connect to this network" error message.

I greatly appreciate any help. I rely heavily on my hotspot so this is a huge pain.

Have you tried connecting to your hotspot as if it were a new connection or relying on previous settings?

Well, I would suggest try performing a soft factory resetting ! If the problem is somewhere over the settings then factory resetting your device is surely going to help you out !

What security are you using? Have you tried temporarily disabling security for testing?
