Computer Backup?

Does anyone use any kind of application on Windows and on their phone to backup between the two? I have seen several online but I don't want to download something that is bad.

Pretty much I want one that backups sms and contacts.

Does anyone have any input on services they have used?

my backup pro

I use my backup pro( app store ). I have an automatic backup to my 32gb sd card scheduled each night. I have everything selected for the backup. Phone needs to be on for the backup. Great program. I set it and forget it.

I use gmail so my contacts are already saved at gmail.com

And this backs up my sms messages to gmail as well:
