com.motorola.provider.contacts is high in battery manager

Alright, so i've checked all over and I can't really find a good answer. Droid 2 forum has a similar question, but no real information passed along to the person asking.

Yesterday I noticed that my contact pictures, which were linked with my fb contacts, weren't staying synced with the fb pictures. After reading, I noticed that some people have had this problem after loading the leaked 2.2. So, I deleted my fb account on the DX and then reloaded it, fixing the contact picture issue. However, since then my com.motorola.providers.contacts has been at 20-30% of my battery usage as per battery manager. I originally thought it was because I was getting a ton of gmail emails since my motorola support forum account is linked to it, but after turning off feeds to the email, its still high.

Any thoughts on what could be causing it and what I can do?

I was wondering if you ever got this figured out, as I am having the EXACT same issue!! If so, can you let me know what you did? Thanks!!! :-)
