ClockworkMod's Rom Manager and CyanogenRom

I'm running CyanogenRom 6.0 right now, and have ClockworkMod's Rom Manager on my Droid 1. I recieved a message that there was an update to CyanogenRom to 6.1. I did not however install it, as I wasn't sure if I would need to reinstall all my apps or not.

Does anyone know if this is the case? Or if I update to 6.1 using Rom Manager, is this more like an OTA update?

Are there any instructions on how to "safely" update your Rom with Rom Manager?

When you do the update, it'll prompt you whether to wipe your data and cache, which you don't need to do for an update. If you were switching ROMs, yes, wipe data and cache. I'd still recommend doing a nandroid backup before doing the install, just in case something goes wrong. Also, you will have to reinstall any kernel you might have had installed.

Only installed the Kernel that came with the ROM.....

So as I see it, U can update without affecting much....if any, correct?

Okay. In that case just update, update the apps, and no wipe required. Make a backup first but nothing at all should change except the level of awesome on your phone.

The stock black theme option is worth the price of admission (the update you have to do), as is the pulldown/notification power widget. :D

One note, if you manually installed AppWidgetPicker, you might want to go in and uninstall it. CM6.1 includes it and you'll have both installed, one which will work and one which won't.
