ClockworkMod Recovery on boot

I have to return my phone to Verizon in the next couple days because of a screen issue, but I know that they won't except it with that on the boot screen. How do I get ride of it. I've done a factory reset also deleted the app and also deleted everything I saw on my sdcard. can someone please help, Im pretty new to this "jailbreaking" deal.
