Clockwork showing up without "Bootstrap Recovery"

A friend noticed that he was able to get into clockwork without specifically choosing to. As we both have a DroidX i decided to try the same thing.

What i noticed was that If the phone was powered off, then plugged in, then powered on after the "charging" indicator came up it would boot the phone into clockwork.

Anyone else seeing this? anyone with a phone thats in a bricked state (that has clockwork installed) able to try this?

We are currently running 2.3.340 with RubiX Focused 1.9.5 themed and clockwork 2.5.0.7

I have seen this several times. In my case my charger does not charge properly (Verizon sending new one) so some mornings my battery will be dead. After charging the battery I would power on and it will boot into clockworks. I then choose reboot and everything is fine.
