I live in ES time zone. Flew last night to Dallas, TX which is Central. In settings I have automatic date and time checked but NOT automatic time zone. Landed in Dallas but time on GS3 did not change/update. Still showing ES time. What's up with this?
You told it not to update the timezone so it is still showing the correct time in the time zone you requested. Check automatic timezone and it should update correctly.
Right. So now I check auto update time zone. Makes local Dallas time correct BUT it also shifts all calendar items one hour off. Sriously? When I saw seperate settings for time and time zone updates I had high hopes Android had finally addressed a long standing problem. For frequent flyers like myself there MUST be a way to network update time but leave zones alone for the sake of calendar items staying out. I declare this a bug!
