Circle Battery Numbers for Liberty Theme

EDIT #1: I've added Gingerbread (green) versions to this post. I also made red and white versions, but due to the five-attachment limit, you'll have to find them later in this thread.

EDIT #2: The Gingerbread versions have been fixed. The old ones didn't work because of a mismatched filename.

EDIT #3: I've posted the Photoshop (PSD) file here. Feel free to post your own altered and re-colorized versions.

EDIT #4: I've posted counter-clockwise versions of the yellow circle battery icon set (with and without the yellow line), as well as a ZIP file containing variants of the 0% and 100% circle battery icons, here.

Dear fellow Liberty users,

For those of you who like the yellow Liberty theme but prefer circular battery icons with numbers, here's a Metamorph theme for you. As an additional option, I also made a version that adds a thin yellow line at the bottom of the notification bar, to separate it visually from the rest of the screen. (In the latter version, the battery icons are shifted up by one pixel to avoid collision with the yellow line.)

A few notes:

(1) To install these icons, you'll need the Metamorph app by Stericson, available for free on the Android Market. The battery icons and notification bar background are the only things that will be altered; nothing else will be touched, so if you've already made other custom modifications to your /system/framework/framework-res.apk, they won't be affected.

(2) If you've installed the version with the yellow line and decide you don't like the line, you CAN get rid of it by installing the version without the yellow line.

(3) The icons were vectored from scratch, except for the charging symbol, which I took from the Liberty/Gingerbread theme. (Not that circular arcs are anything original, of course...)

(4) The font I used for the numbers is ITC Franklin Gothic Demi. If you'd like the numbers in a different font, I can post the Photoshop file for you to play around with. Just let me know.

Hope some of you find this useful!

Best wishes,
Ming.

Thank you sooo much. Seconded on a green version though :)

I just made a green version that should match the Gingerbread theme. Check the first post for new files. These Metamorph themes should, in theory, work on any Droid X/2 ROM that sports a Gingerbread theme. I have not tested them, however, and take no responsibility for anything that may go wrong!

can i request a red one ? it would go nicely with the red liberty theme =]

Okay... for those of you who requested a red version, I have a question.

The yellow and green versions turn orange and then red when the battery is low (that seems like a common convention in many themes including the Liberty and Gingerbread themes so I followed suit). Would you like the red version to stay red all the way from 100% to 0%, or would you like it to turn into a different color?

Here are the red versions! I haven't tested them so use them at your own risk.

EDIT: Added white versions to this post.

So do we install these as a theme? Sorry still kinda new with rooting/liberty.

It's a Metamorph theme. Get Metamorph from the market (it's free, though there's a donate version too). Create a folder in the root of your SD card named "AndroidThemes" and place the ZIP file you downloaded from here into that folder. Then run Metamorph, and follow the prompts from there.

Thanks so much! I'll try it out!
