Checking For Update

I am still running 2.1 and have never checked for an update but believe it's there. I have been holding off on 2.2 until they get some fixes out. My question is, when the phone checks for updates does it show me there is one available or if one is available does it start downloading it automatically?

Yes it should say that there is an update for your phone and that the update should start automatically downloading in whatever seconds, but it gives you an option not to download or download later. Thats my experience I don't know about other users. Hope this helps
