Charging questions

I like to leave home with a fully charged D2G, so while at home I leave it connected to the charger. Does this in any way harm the phone or battery? Is over charging an issue?

Considering the fact battery life is 1 day at most with light usage, I think that's the only thing you can do :)
Joking aside - phone has a Litium ION/Polymer battery which does not suffer from older NiMH/NiCAD batteries memory effect - you can top it up any time - it won't hurt the battery. Even it is sort of recommended - it is not good to do a full discharge on a Li ION battery more than once a month in order to keep it in good health.

About overcharging - phone will not let you overcharge the battery. You can leave it for 2 days on the charger and it still will be fine. (Charging circuicits are taking care of preventing overcharging)
