Changing the Wi-Fi MAC Address

Does anybody know how to change your MAC address? I have been blocked of of my homes wifi and need to get back on. Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thanks

Hah. Your folks don't want you looking up porn after lights out. Why not just use 3G?

And you can't change it.

haha very funny and because my phones 3G turns off at 10 and i cant fix it...

You cannot change your mac address. Most routers have a small reset switch though.

okay thanks. my router is actually rooted, so i should be able to mess around with it and fix the problem.

No the mac address is permanent. The ip address will change if its not static but not the mac.

you're right with a traditional MAC address on a network adapter, and you're not right in this setting. My dX MAC also changes every reboot on cm7 nightlies (since like #50) and it's madly irritating.

But it shouldn't. It's supposed to be static. That's a software problem if the phone is reporting different mac addresses.
