Changing Search Button on Droid 2

Is there any app which allows you to change the built in search button on the phone? I want to have it open an app when I press it instead of the default search. I'm talking about the magnifying glass on the bottom right part.

Thanks! I tried looking around but can't find anything

Well I don't know about changing what it does on a tap but I know you can set shortcuts on long press. There's an app called HomeSmack that lets you easily configure it

ah didnt work for me.

the app i want it to open isnt even on the list that it lets me choose from.

any other options?

Only other thing I can think of is the native quick launch feature. Menu>Settings>Applications>Quick launch. You can set any application to open when you hold the search key and press an assigned letter on the slide out kb.
