CD quality music in car

How to get CD quality music from Droid into my car audio system? I don't like the FM xmitters. The $100 iPod integration kits are overkill. BMW 2000 528i.

Hard wiring will always yield the best audio quality. It seems odd to me that you're willing to pay for a BMW yet consider a $100 iPod kit (not that they're relevant to Android) overkill. Any line-in adapter for your factory stereo is probably going to roughly cost the same amount. A new head unit with AUX is going to cost more. I'd suggest one of these two options.

Overkill is when I pay for functionality I can't utilize. Where you find an in-line adapter?
