cant send or receive pics from canada

Hi.brand new owner of smartphone and feeling overwhelmed.love the large screen to.view internet better.Very close to.returning this phone because unable to send or receive pics thru text to and from Canada as I have in past with multimedia phone..I am.able.to send.and.receive pics in the USA.I've.called Verizon support and said.should.not be.problem.with.my issue.They said.everything seems.on their part fine. I am.frustrated.I like the large screen but.if.this issue.cant be.resolved I.am prob lookin into.blackberry.plz.help ! I.am not techi. savvy. Any assistance wud be. Very much appreciated.

Yeah.I.love.handcent.I.use.it.every.day!!!!!!It's.way.better.than.the.stock.text.messaging.application.
