I rooted my Dx2. I don't know what happen, but I can't open and view my contacts. Error msg process com.motorola.contacts has stopped unexpectedly. Anybody have any input on this? Thank you in advance.

All you did was root and this happened? Did you freeze anything using Titanium? What version did you root? 2.3.4 or 2.3.5? Which root method did you use?

I had a friend do it for me. I'm not sure what method he used. It had something to do in the titanium back up. I'm not sure what happened.

My guess is he froze something he shouldn't have. Do you still have Titanium Backup installed? Open it and click the "backup and restore tab" scroll through everything, are there some highlighted? I hope he didn't uninstall and he just froze them... let me know.

Best bet is to ask him what he did... my guess is he removed something.

Try going to settings - applications - all, finding your contacts, click on it and clear data. If that doesn't work the next thing you would need to do is perform a SBF... or install a custom ROM.

My phone is flashed to cricket, will I lose the flash if I do an SBF? and what would be the best ROM to install?

Yes, you would lose the flash if you used an SBF... hmm as far as I know there isn't an SBF available for cricket. I'll have to look.

Edit: I'm asking someone I know. I'll report back when I hear from him. May not be until tomorrow since its late. Sorry.

i recommend flashing DX2 ezSBF 2.3.4, it should leave your cricket radio settings alone
but I would like to know your system version go to menu>settings>about phone>system version is it 1.3.418?

also always make a nandroid in bsr/DX2 system recovery, directly after rooting, and before making any changes
