Can't load Ice Cream Sandwich Update

My father got a Trio Stealth 9.7 tablet for Christmas. We're trying to update to the latest version of Ice Cream Sandwich, and we get an error when we try to do a system update. It says "please make sure you have update.zip in nand or sd card".

I don't know where to go looking for the update. Thoughts?

Where did you get the update? If it was downloaded from the browser then look in sd/downloads with a file explorer.

Usually, they need to be named update.zip & placed on the root of the sd. Not in any folders.

We don't have the update yet. I'm not much of a phone/tablet guy (though I have both), so I'm not sure where to look. All of my updates have been over the air.
