well I recently purchased a droid 4 and I can not get any gmails unless I manually sync. the green box is checked for auto sync and still nothing. any help is greatly appreciated....thanks
I have never had this issue but taking a "shot" here.
1. Go to Settings/Data Manager and see if Data enabled and Background data are checked, both should be checked.
2. Open Gmail and press Menu then press Accounts when the window opens once again press Menu which will show your Gmail inbox and an "Add account" button at the bottom.
3. Press Menu again and select Account settings from the menu that opens at the bottom, under General sync settings both Background data and Auto-sync should be checked and under Manage accounts your Gmail account should be set to Sync is on.
I had to get a new phone yesterday because I was having issues with my speaker crackling, since I got the new phone I have been getting my gmails, so I guess I will never know what the problem was.....weird
thanks for everyone's input tho
