Cant get apps to update / rooted

So I rooted my Inc2 and am still learning about what I can do. However, I am not able to update my apps. The phone will say that updates are available but when I tell it to go ahead and update them, it will show they are but nothing is happening. As I look at the top of the screen the '3G arrows' are not lit...in other words theres no down loading taking place. I have tried turning 'airplane' mode on then off, I have tried to reboot, I have also tried to go to Market Place and update them manually but to no avail!

Have you tried going to settings/apps/play store, & clearing the cache & data?

When I go into settings the only options I have are to change notification settings and content filtering. None of those u mentioned. Other ideas?
