On that note, the default voice dialer is crapola!
"if" it works, it won't acknowledge which number is default so it likes to dial the wrong number that I have assigned to a contact.
Which is the recommendation consensus?
We may have a partial handle on what has happened. It looks like some phones cannot see any apps (paid or free) that use Google's copy protection feature.
The question of why these phones cannot see protected apps is still open. Relevant threads here and here. It may be related to hardware swaps.
Update: Rhampton confirms he had a hardware swap early on. So did the Droid owner that alerted us in the Google Market posting, DigiK. I am going to edit the earlier request to ask that those that have swapped Droid hardware to give it a try.

This is your original Droid. You have not swapped your unit?
So we now have 2 swapped phones that do not show all available apps and 2 original phones that do show all available apps. This is beginning to show a pattern. Thanks

Same with me..... top of the list is "voice dialer HF" with a total of 15 apps showing.
If I search for "Voice Dial" I get a total of 15 again with "Accudial" at the top of the list.....
My phone is an original
Voice Dialer HF not compatible with Eris (Android 1.5), it will be when Eris gets OS update. This is why it doesn't show up on your Eris.
I would like to purchse this app and have the same problem.
This is a brand new Motorola Milestone on Rogers.
When I do a search in the market for "voice dialer", I get 23 results.
The top result is "choice dialer free" and the second "topvoicecontrol".
And I also tried the barcode scan on http://www.dfxmobile.com/voicedialerhf and still no result
