Every once In a while I see apps get removed for a couple of days while they update... usually when they show up again they are much better.

We have not removed Voice Dialer HF from the Market. I just confirmed it is still visible from a Verizon Droid phone and that we have had several sales in the last hour.

VDHF is a paid ($4) app. Are you able to see other non-free apps?

I can see hundreds of of other paid apps under top paid, but if I do a search for voice dialer hf - no matches found. if I do a search for voice dialer, I get 9 results, 5 free and and 4 with prices. Thanks

Well we don't like to hear that! When I search Market on the phone:

• "vdhf" - only hit
• "voice dialer" - top hit
• "hands free" - top hit
• "dialer" - #4
• "voice" - #16

From my droid phone, I just did a phone data reset hoping to clear a bad market index file. didn't help. When I go to the market and do a search, I get the message "There are no matches in Android Market for the search:voice dialer hf". Can't figure this one out.

I get no hit on voice dialer hf, no hit on VDHF, plenty of hits on voice, dialer, hands free

Weird, I just went to the main page of The Market APP (not browser) and searched "Voice Dialer" and it was at the top of the list.

I just went to the main page market APP, searched for voice dial and got 11 hits, nowhere is voice dialer hf. Thanks. Anyone know how to make Market download a fresh index? Thanks

It would be interesting to see if it comes up on another Droid.

It is possible that the reason it shows up on ours is becasue we have it installed??

I would uninstall and see if it shows up but I am too chicken that it won't and I would not have one fo my favorite programs!

I just wanted to chime in that i have seen this with other applications also. programs I could once see on my Droid, that since I was issued a new Droid by Verizon, I can no longer see. These included some free and some paid. There is something amiss here, and hopefully Google will figure it out sooner than later

Rhampton and I caught up offline. He went to a couple stores and checked out many phones. All newly-activated phones are seeing only 9 (in his area of Ohio). Update: Those newly-activated phones were tested by a salesman with his (previously activated) account.

If any others are seeing only 9 results when searching for "voice dial" on the phone in the Market app, could you please let us know ? (be sure to search without the quotes)

Also, if you have had a hardware swap (Droid replacement), please let us know either way.

Update1: If you have ever swapped out your Droid hardware, please try the above test and let us know! See post 19 for more info.

Update2: We now know, thanks to an impressively incendiary, highly effective thread, that not all Droid hardware swaps result in this problem. We would still like to understand who does and does not see this, so please post your results if you have had a hardware swap!
