I've had this happen to me before. Try force closing the market app, then restart and try to download again; that seemed to work for me.

Have you tried downloading a free app from Amazon? That will confirm if problem is phone or Market.

In market settings there's an option to only allow downloads if on wifi. Is that by any chance checked?

If not, clear the market data and try again.

Yep, this sounds like a "data management" setting issue to me.

Had this happen to me when trying to download an app from the Marketplace, it would always default to WiFI to try and download, it would just sit there and do nothing. Try unchecking "Data Saver" in settings under "Battery & Data Manager".

Hope this helps!
