Can't disable boot animation

Installed MIUI 1.12.16 on my OG droid with the NeonGT theme (LOVE IT!), and I can't disable the annoying boot sound. Under the customize theme settings, "none" is selected by default, yet it still plays the sound. Tried other themes with the same result. Is there a way to manually remove the sound? Thanks in advance.

I used root explorer and deleted the boot sound.

system>media>audio (I think)

It should be labelled boot sound once you get there.

Droid 3 boot sound disable

I used root explorer and deleted the boot sound.

system>media>audio (I think)

It should be labelled boot sound once you get there.

On my Droid 3 used root explorer
went to system/media
renamed Droid.ogg to droid.ogg.bak
droid sound on boot now gone
