can't delete contacts on Droid who are no longer on my facebook friends list

Hi, I have a Droid 2, I think. It's a 2010 model. When I first got it, all my contacts were added from my Facebook friends list automatically. I have several "friends" no longer on my Facebook Friends list. I have gone to Facebook and unfriended them. yet when I try to delete the names from my Droid phone's contact list, a message pops up, telling me I can't delete them until I have deleted them from my Facebook Friends list. I tried editing, but that didn't help either. How do I get rid of these contacts on my phone?

Hmm try going to settings/accounts and choose Facebook. There should be an option to sync the app so that it can clear the unfriended people's data.
