Can't change Sms ringtone after 2.2 update

This strange thing started happening to my phone after i updated to froyo last week. Whenever i change my default notification tone, it changes all other notifications such as email and usb but will not change the sms ringtone. No matter what i put it remains as the default "droid" sound. Anyone else have this problem? its still stock btw.

Go into 'Messaging' and see what the nofication ringtone is set to. It may be set to "Droid" and not 'Default Notification'. If that's the case, it wouldn't matter what you set the default to.

Ah Ha! that did it, apparently it changed enough after the froyo update that whenever i set my ringtones, especially through other apps, it would change the notification but not the now separate messaging ringtone, thank you for pointing that out.
