Cannot remove / reinstall google music

So i was happily using the Google music app when for whatever reason the app stopped working... the long and short of is... i removed all of the app data so now the phone still thinks it is installed and working when really it's simply not there... the reason i did it this way is because i wanted to get rid of it so i could reinstall because it would no longer play music and the app was not showing up in applications for removal... **breathe**
