Cannot get google voice working

I have tried multiple times to get google voice working but everytime i get to the where it tried to verify my phone after i enter my PIN, it says that my phone number could not be verified

cant you go on GV and change your pin?

im just using the same pin that ive been using for years and it tells me that it cannot verify my phone number

well try going into GV and changing it then use that right away to see if that works. or even just change it to the same password

cant even get into GV tho. have never used the app cause i cant get passed the setup stages

I have the same problem. I haVe installed it on my phone and still says the phone number is invalid.

Do you guys actually have a Google Voice account? this is separate than your current plan and you have to sign up first to actually use the app on your phone.

like go to voice.google.com and try to sign in. if you cant then you dont have one
