Can we go from 5 screens to 3?

On 2.2......no Launcher Pro. My wife has 5 and really only needs 3.

seems to me there would be an option if you hit the menu button and then preferences. Has been on LP and ADW so why not the stock one.

When I was running Cyanogen, I believe the developer included a setting that allowed folks to remove 2 of the 5 screens.

the only way to do it is with a custom rom or one of the launchers. why the hate on Launcher Pro...it wont cost you anything to get the 3 screens...plus it is just easier to use.
