can only hear when using speakerphone?

i dropped my phone in my dog's water dish this morning. only about a 1/2 inch of water. immediately removed from water. removed battery and sd card. dried with paper towel. placed phone and battery in a ziploc bag of rice. removed after 9 hours. phone worked fine, except i cannot hear out of earpiece and person on other end cannot hear me. only when i use speakerphone can i hear or the person on other end can hear me. any suggestions or ideas??

If the water indicator is untouched I would take it to your provider and tell them it stopped working and you have no idea why, if the water indicator got wet you might be out of luck, sounds like you shorted your mic and your speaker
