Sounds like you need to connect to wifi (even if it's a Chromecast with no internet access) each time.

I believe as long as i keep the teathering provision checked at all times, i can turn hotspot on and off as needed with no wifi or internet access.

The teathering provisions feature disconntects the carriers ability to tell of it is disabled or enabled.

They can but the question is will they care? Data is data to them.
I am not sure. But, since they refuse to provide the solution. By which they are obligated to do, in which I paid them $1200 to turn the service on, and that they swore it would work. Yea.....so I am gonna do what I have to.

If they would simply run the uverse that is 1 minite away from me, and theu refuse to do it, then I will see where the dice falls.

Well.....I knrw it was too good to be true. Soon as my phone lost all charge, it went back to being locked. I am at a loss.

Buy a Chromecast for $35ish dollars & use the trick in the video or pay for hotspot.

They sell Chromecast at Walmart & Best Buy.

Well, what's interesting is it doesn't work with a Verizon based S7. There is no "TetheringProvision" in the phone, AND, perhaps most importantly when you have WIFI on and you click to turn Hotspot on, WIFI disconnects automatically, thereby preventing the bypass technique above.

Also, WIFI Sharing is disabled on the Verizon variant of the S7, so even if they didn't disable the WIFI when turning hotspot on, it wouldn't work anyway.

For further understanding, see Tip: The Galaxy S7 (And Edge) Can Share Its Wi-Fi Connection With Other Devices, As Long As You're Not On Verizon

I noticed that on some comments on youtube. Apparently AT&T has both options. I do also have the option to enable and disable wifi sharing.

Well, here is where I am stumped. Chromcast requires home internet to work off of. I do not have internet at home only on our phones.

I have a device similar to chromecastexcept it does not require wifi and or internet to function. It connects to my phone via wifi and transmits that way.

Chromecast requires internet to work as a Chromecast. It doesn't require it for this hack to work.

Watch your video again. All he's doing is connecting to the Chromecast via the wifi network that the Chromecast creates.

He specifically didn't connect to his other network that has internet because he was showing you that you just need to connect to a wifi network. You don't need internet according to that video. You just need the phone to connect to the wifi signal to fool the checks they have in place.
