Can I turn off Ping notification

Is it possible to temporarily turn off the Ping notifications while on a phone call? When I am part of a group MMS session and on a ph call it can be rather annoying.

i found out how to turn it off on another site, although its not going to be limited to during calls etc.
" there is a way to turn email notifications off. Just head over your Ping’s account management screen, scroll down and hit the checkbox next to Email Notifications."
