Can Anything Be Done About This Invasion Of Privacy?

Well, I'm not sure... Probably someone will do something someday.
But I couldn't help noticing the handle! Boy Scouts? :D
 
I believe you are correct. HTC 'seems' to be the only android handset with this software atm.
 
Early indications are that we are in the clear. At least, testing for the Carrier IQ software has been reported to be negative by several. Moto support forum poster reports that Moto has not used this software. Take all of this with a grain of salt.

Verizon has stated that none of their phones have he CIQ software, so we should be clear.

Yea but it could be a play on words. Verizon could use their own modified version of privacy invading software that is called something different.
