Camera issue doesn't save pictures

I have had the Motorola Droid since April. I have absolutely loved this phone since I have had it. Now all of a sudden when I take pictures it doesn't save. The picture def. takes and then it saves on my phone as a black screen. Not sure if there is something I can do to fix it. I have restarted my phone and nothing is working.

Also, when I try to turn my volume up/down (media and ringer) it doesn't show how far up or down it is moving. Is anyone else having these issues?
