Call screen problem. Please help....

I'm troubled so far by the Droid screen during calls. And I'm thinking there's a problem w the phone or there's a setting I don't know about. Here's the sitch: Every time I'm on a call I trigger the speaker phone or I hang up on the person. I realize it's a touch tone phone, but this is ridiculous. Most of the time my face is barely touching the phone. I miss the Curve days of hanging on the phone. Can anyone help??

Push your ear up against the earpiece a bit more firmly.

There are proximity sensors near the earpiece that sense your face's closeness and shut the screen off.

My problem is I am holding it in my hand when a call comes in and it flashes on and off. Answer me that one.

If your screen is flashing on and off then there is something wrong with the phone. It should just show the incoming number, possibly a picture and the swipe to accept or send the call to voice mail.
