I'm using Jorte right now and I like it, but I want to try something else out.

Check out business calendar in the market. It's in beta version only (free) for the moment. Very impressed. Syncs easily w google calendar

Either is fine, but widget-only would be more of a priority.

CalWidget is popular but I personally love Pure Calendar Widget (its the agenda view) and the dev does Pure Grid Calendar (widget of a calendar month rather than agenda)..

You can check out Pure Grid calendar widget and/or Pure Calendar widget along with that.

Pure Grid calendar for widget. I set it to open Business Calendar upon tapping. Great combination. Another to watch in Beta is Calengoo.
