Calendar Default

I am using Calendar 2.2.1 which came with my Droid X.

Is there any way to force it to display the monthly calendar view?

I exit from the monthly view but each time I turn on the Droid it has reverted to daily view.

I don't think you can with the default app, but there are plenty of much better calendar apps in the market and many are free. I use calendarpad.

I had tried Jorte but I couldn't get it to sync with my Google Calendar. I'll give yours a try.
