can this be done on a droid 1? i see it can be on the x so figured with all the options for the droid 1 u can do this as well

yes...

just pull build.prop from /system/ then edit it to your needs then push it back to /system/ using adb shell or a root terminal.

it can be edited in a standard text editor as the file is written in plain english.

and the answer (of yes) is in post 51 of that thread. I was just over in that thread today and changed my wifi scan default setting of 30 to 90.
