Browser won't go to Homepage

Hiya everyone, my friend just got a brand new Galaxy Note 2, and is having some trouble with it. We think something went wrong during the initial set-up process (probably a typo by the employee) because his phone keeps redirecting to www.goolgle.com, even though he has set his homepage to google several times. He has changed browsers and reset his homepage to google on each one, but they all keep going to goolgle when he opens the browser. What happens is that when he opens his browser (doesn't matter which one) it will open to goolgle, but if he then hits the homepage button on the browser it will take him to google. He has sync enabled and has tried syncing, as described here, but that didn't help. He contacted Samsung customer support and they were unable to help him. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
