How easy is it to Brick an android phone? With the Blackberry you can always restore the OS. What happen in the case of a Droid?

As I wait it out to see if the Passion comes to fruition soon, I'll be having some questions, and I'll try to search first.

EDIT: Never mind, I just saw the hard reset thread instructions. I'm guessing this would take care of restoring the unit in case it gets FUBAR'd

I have yet to see a posting of someone bricking it while trying to hack it / modify it.

Since its designed to be open source code, would Verizon or Motorola replace it should that happen? (unless, of course, we're given the ability to reload the OS)

I doubt it very seriously that they will replace the unit should you screw it up. It's not their fault that you messed with the coding and managed to completely destroy the unit.

however if you do brick your phone, and bring it to verizon saying you don't know what happened, they'll still give you a new phone if it won't even boot.
