Bricked?

I recently root my Droid running 2.2. I download ROM Manager premium and downloaded a Rom. Now when I try to turn on my phone I get the motorola symbol, then a black glowing screen. If anyone can help it be great I've tried everything form a complete factory reset to a sprecovery. Although I couldnt find a recovery for 2.2. I really don't want to take her back to the store. thanks to anyone that can help

If you can see the M and/or get into recovery, you're not bricked.

When you first installed rom manager, did it install clockwork recovery for you? That's what it used to do, but I haven't used it in quite a while.

More help will come in this section, but I'll start with some basic questions in the meantime to speed up the process.

Ok from my experience I can give a little advice...

First off, find yourself a STOCK ROM SBF. I chose 2.1-update1 because that's what came on my phone when I bought it. Then I changed over to an unofficial rooted 2.2 stock rom

Download RSD Light and flash your phone w/ that stock setup.

Now you should have a functioning phone again...

That worked for me perfectly.

From now on, every time you're about to flash something or install something or make some big change.... MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP. No matter how stupid you may think it is...they can save your arse if something screws up :)

Thank I'm guna try this, only problem is my phone wont charge in my computer. It only work on the wall charger
