Both WiFi and Mobile Data Icons In Status Bar

With the latest update from today, I have noticed that both my WiFi icon and Mobile Data (currently 3G) are being displayed. I am guessing that both are active, killing my battery.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I don't think it's necessarily active like that, my woman's droid razr had the same thing in the status bar, and my s3 is the same way after the update

Hmm, not sure if it's actually eating up your battery but the 3G icon shouldn't be showing. Only the 3G signal bars and WiFi signal bars should be on there. Have you rebooted phone since the update?

Yes, I have rebooted multiple times. At first, the Mobile Data icon is not present, after the WiFi connects, but then appears.

Let's see if any others who have gotten the update has the same issue. If not, maybe a factory reset?

I have both. It wasn't there at first, but showed up after an hour or so.

Ive always had that. If Wi-Fi is being used, you'll see the green and orange arrows light up. The 3g or 4g symbols arrows aren't lit up.

I had that problem at work but now that I'm home it's gone, I'm just getting the wifi signal. Could it be the location had something to do with it?

I noticed this on my screen last night too. It seemed like WiFi would work & then 3G would. Seems like this made web access very slow. I also rebooted. Root is gone now as well.

Much faster than before. There needs to be a fix for this and quick.

I have either a 4G or 3G indicator when my Wifi is on too. Its only the the first day but I'm seeing early indication of faster battery drain. I may do a hard reset this weekend and see if that helps at all. (hard reset sure helped my Nexus after its most recent update)

Everyone relax, this is normal with any new update from Verizon, the reason you are getting both icons at the top is because certain Verizon apps that are being updated only use 4G LTE, it is a security issue implemented by Verizon, it should go away after those apps are updated, also if you notice anytime any data is being transmitted there is two small arrows beneath the WiFi or the LTE icon that are flashing "transmitting the data", so you know if your WiFi or your Verizon Data service is transmitting the data..
