Bluetooth with MINI?

Am considering the Thunderbolt, and wondered if anyone on here has paired it with a MINI Cooper via BT? If so, does everything work (meaning does your contact list come up)?

Bluetooth with MINI

Well, I wouldn't be too optimistic. I have a Droid Incredible and a new MINI. It paired fine but right now I am ready to throw the incredible out the window. Most of the time when I get in the car the Droid will not connect - it thinks it's paired, the car thinks it's paired, but just doesn't connect. I have deleted the pairing several times, paired again, but it still is not reliable. Takes about 10 minutes of screwing around with the phone to get it to connect. I have tried power cycling the phone, turning BT off and on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it connects and immediatey disconnects.

In fact I was just at the Verizon store last night to see if they could help. All the guy said was he knew some people report issues with BMWs. That could be a clue... We swapped batteries since I also have some battery issues.

The Incredible has worked reliably with my BlueAnt headset since I got it (8 months ago), but I think less reliably with the BlueAnt S3 speakerphone I just put in my other car.

I have used the Tbolt with my MINI. The phone book transfered fine. I don't talk on the phone much so I can't speak to connectivity issues. I did find the in call bluetooth volume on the low side for freeway speeds.

Droid & MINI

Seems like my Droid Incredible has developed a serious issue with all bluetooth, so probably not directly related to the car.

Thanks for the info. I thought the whole point of BT was that the connection protocols were standardized.

FWIW the local VZW store was useless.
