Bluetooth Stereo controls?

I havent been able to get my bluetooth stereo headphones skip, and play controls to work with the stock droid music player. i would only assume you pay all that money that it should work. is it just me or is it not compatible? i have downloaded mixzing and it works with that. any help would be fine.

Not sure about default media player, the apps that I use that work with bluetooth controls are Pandora and Last.fm. One that doesn't work is Rhapsody (beta).

Tried with JVC KD-AVX44 car stereo.
