bluetooth H17txt not reading text

Got a strange problem that I can't seem to find any discussions on. I purchased the Motorola H17txt for my Droid X and the text to voice will not work. I swapped out both the bluetooth and the phone and still no luck. I thought it may be my corporate email sync so I deleted that account as well as my other email accounts but nothing worked. The motospeak is the free version offered on the market (couldn't find the pro version). Strange thing is my son-in-law has a Droid X and it worked on his phone with motospeak. We matched up the settings on the bluetooth, phone, and motospeak and they are identical. Any ideas on what it could be?

I've been checking back every so often and no replies back yet so apparently I have a unique problem. With that said does anyone have another bluetooth they recommend for the droid x? I really like the text to voice option the H17txt offered but I'm going to give up and take back to Best Buy and exchange for a different unit.

Motospeak

Did you download Motospeak from the market??? You have to have that app and have it enabled to have it read txts...

Thay have new headsets out that are supposed to fix some past issues with txt reading and also an update for Motospeak 1.0 to 2.0. 2.0 has some great features, have to have a newer headset though, some new features wont work on the H17txt

I currently have the H17txt. And have had no problems with it reading back my texts, but will be getting a the new Moto Finity this weekend! Motospeak 2.0 here I come!
