Bluetooth File Transfer

Has anyone attempted to try this yet? Someone just asked me about it and I haven't seen any discussions on this topic.

Profiles supported:
HFP, HSP (Hands Free)
A2DP, AVRCP (Streaming Music)
PBAP (Phone Book Access)
OPP (Object Push Profile)

The OPP should allow you to transfer files via Bluetooth.

Don't have my Droid so not exactly sure HOW it works, but in theory its possible.

I have successfully transferred files over bluetooth from my Windows 7 laptop to my Droid without issue. It's going the other direction that is a poblem. The laptop will never prompt me to accept the incoming file and the Droid will onloy show Connection Failed with in seconds of trying the transfer.

My other problem is posting vidos to FB. The Share option does not show the FB app, only MMS, YouTube and email. If I browse to FB from the Droid then try to upload, the video files are not displayed. If I navigate to the full version of FB from the phone, the video upload button is disabled. Very annoying.

Ideas anyone?

i tried to copy some pics from my BB pearl to my Droid, it starts off ok. they pair and i can see the file being transfered over then when it's complete the droid states the tranfer was terminated or something like that. so i have been unsuccessful as of yet.

Ditto. This is very annoying. I have a 54 mb video so it is too big for the phone to email. If bluetooth doesn't work there will be no way to get it off the phone. Ideas?

I've been able to transfer pictures via bluetooth in both directions between my Droid and a Linux box. I've never tried any other file types because I didn't have the need but don't see why it wouldn't work.

That's how I transferred my music to my Droid, it was pretty darn quick. I like it, don't have to unwrap my usb cable when I want a quick transfer of a new song. As for videos, that could take awhile.

I am trying to transfer pictures from my blackberry to my droid via bluetooth. I have them paired but not connected. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been trying repeatedly but they still are not connected. Thanks.

How are you transfering them using the USB? I tried to connect them with the USB and was unabe to transfer the pic I want off the puter to my phone. Can some body tell me how to do this step by step? I am new to this smart phone and the last computer I had was a Dell that I got in '98 when it was the newest and fastest. Now I have a laptop with windows 7 so I am really learning a bunch of things.
Thanks

How is anybody getting pics from the computer with bluetooth? I can send to the computer but not from the computer to my droid.

Everytime I am trying to connect to the computer it says "paired but not connected" but I am able to send files from my driod with bluetooth transfer anyway. I just can't get pics ao music to send to my droid from the computer. Try to send them with bluetooth transfer and see if it works. I'm trying to figure this phone out too.
Good luck.

If you have a laptop and it takes sd cards, then why not get the converter at your provider and slide the sd into the lap top. My pocket guru for the bb is not familiar, nor was I for a sim laptop converter and that takes you back to the others down below asking you why not just plug your device in and start file transferring into you my documents or likewise folders of your choosing.
