It looks like Blackberry is betting even harder on Android than we realized. According to the leaked renders above, as well as additional intel, the folks at Blackberry are supposedly working on a second Android device. This one has a fixed QWERTY keyboard on the bottom.
If this leaked intel is legitimate, then the next Blackberry Android is codenamed "Vienna." Other than the name and the image, not much else is known about the Vienna. If we had to guess, this device is likely to be their "mid-range" option. Obviously, having a fixed keyboard, instead of the fancy slider in the PRIV would reduce costs. Also, the device appears to have a matte/brushed metal finish instead of the typical shine you see on many devices. This too could be a cost cutting method (or just a way to differentiate design language for multiple devices).
If Blackberry does well with the PRIV, then we could see the Vienna sometime early next year. What do you folks think?
Since we are unsure if this leak is real, and are unsure of its final name, we will hold off on creating a section in our Rumored/Future Devices Category, but here's a link to our Blackberry Category for further discussion of the Blackberry PRIV: Blackberry Android Forum | Android Forum at DroidForums.net
