It can be difficult to view personal information on your smartphone without broadcasting that information to the world. Some people in public places just can't help but peer over and see what is going on on your screen. Blackberry has just released an app that can help you keep your display more private while out in public called "Privacy Shade"
The app blacks out your entire screen except for a small viewing area that you control by dragging around the screen. This area can be a circle or rectangle and you can control the transparency of the shade. For now the app only works on BlackBerry devices. If you happen to be using an Android powered BlackBerry phone you can grab the app from the play store now. Hopefully BlackBerry will see fit to bring this app to other Android phones.
