Black notification bar

wondering if anyone knows how to get a black notification bar. i've seen how to do it with a themed rom like bugless beast, but i want to keep 2.1

what are your reasons for wanting to stay on 2.1? u can use cm6 with a black bar and all that does is keep the stock look except for the notification bar. and there are a ton of great features on cyanogen

thanks for the input. i want to keep 2.1 mostly because i've been experiencing some issues with the 2.2 ROMS and the final release of 2.2. what is cm6?

most people get it through rom manager. but if u dont ur gonna have to download the google apps and that should be somewhere in the first 2 pages. same with the black bar choices
