The latest, appears to be a set of press shots for the DROID Bionicthat showcase its silver rim and more importantly, its thickness. With these side shots, we were able to match the device up against the DROIDX and decide if this will be the next 4G LTE tank from Verizon. It’s actually looking like Moto may have slimmed at least a portion of it down a notch and isn’t all that much heftier than the semi-slim DX. Looks thinner because of the illusion the silver causes around the edge. Look at it when I photoshop the edge to black.

Did an overlay with the Bionic behind the DX2, the red represents the Bionic's additional thickness.

This is without the induction back piece, which makes the back of the device the same size as the bump for the entire back.

I own a DX2 and it's pretty thin except the camera bulge which is quite pronounced on it. The bionic looks to be as think in the camera area and doesn't slope off nearly as much. It's gonna be huge, thick and heavy imo.

I think perhaps we've become too obsessed with thin phones. Looking at that comparison, it doesn't look to be any thicker than my Eris. Or maybe I just don't need SII slimness. I guess I'll approach the phones the same way I do women, I don't want them "I never eat" paper-thin for fear I may break them with a simple squeeze.

S2 might be thinner but i think im gonna like the feel of the bionic better. Sometimes you just need a little heft in your hand. -also, is of course, what she said.

I can't even hold my d1 without a case. Its to thin for me to feel comfortable with it. I think the gs2 would feel the same to me so I would put a thick case on it. I think the bionic will have a very solid feel to it and maybe I can go naked on this beast.
